Open-Source Software Information

The software of the PURE i9/RX9 robot vacuum cleaner contains components that are based on free and open-source software. Electrolux gratefully acknowledges the contributions of the open software and robotics communities to the development project.

Please send a request to opensource.rvc@electrolux.com if you would like us to send a CD-ROM containing the source code of the software packages above. This offer is valid until three years after the last sale or update of the product, and may incur an administrative charge of USD 5 for handling and postage.

Information for test institutes

To access the hidden test modes of the PUREi9/RX9 robot vacuum cleaner, please follow the instructions below.

Note that "press" means to press a button for about 1 s, until the robot makes a beep. And "longpress" means to hold the button for about 2 s, until another beep is heard. (If the robot is muted, the times are the same, but there are no beeps.)

IEC test mode 1 or 2

  1. Longpress Home (the house symbol), then longpress ECO. The display shows "LAN".
  2. Press ECO. The display shows "test".
  3. Press Play. The display shows "t01".
  4. Press ECO to toggle between "t01" (test mode 1) and "t02" (test mode 2), then press Play to select. The display shows "IEC1" or "IEC2".
  5. Press Play to start the test, or longpress Play to cancel.

Toggle WiFi on/off

  1. Longpress Home (the house symbol), then longpress ECO. The display shows "LAN".
  2. Press Play. The display shows "on".
  3. Press ECO to toggle between "on" and "off", then press Play to select.

Turn the robot completely off

Hold Play for about 5 s, until the robot has made three beeps. The display shows "OFF" until the robot has turned off.
